Going down to Salina

So, I'm about 5 hours away from my private pilot's license and it has never been more entertaining. Monday, I flew down to Salina, UT. It is the smallest airstrip in Utah. Only about 3000 feet long and 50 feet wide. I felt like I was a million miles high looking down on that airstrip. My landing could have been better, it was more of a pebble skipping across the runway, but I got the Katana down.

I was going to fly up to MT Pleasant, but the crosswind was higher than I expected. So, I turned west and landed at Nephi.

I love these little airplanes. With a headwind, I had a ground speed of 45knts coming in on final approach for Nephi. At that speed, I'm practically a helicopter.
